Oh hi presents newly made and refurbished furniture pieces, made or restored by me, Oliver Driscoll. I take great pleasure in the narrative or storied value of newly hand-crafted and older pieces, of the way objects speak through and of time.

Most of the materials used have been reclaimed, both for the sake of their aged quality and so as to minimise the use of new materials and to reduce landfill.

The ceramics are made by North Queensland potter, Pamela Ortega.

There are always pieces in the works, and it’s likely that if you’re after something in particular, I’ll be able to create it for you. If there’s a certain piece you are after, please do get in touch. I’m more than happy to discuss ideas with you.

Please email me to purchase an item. For the time being, I can only offer collection from St Kilda East for furniture pieces; ceramics and the bookrests can be posted. I am, of course, more than happy for items to be picked up by couriers.

Occasionally I have pieces that I want to save, that I feel want to continue to exist, but that are not really sellable, in which case I make necessary repairs and sell them very cheapy, or offer them for free.

To the left you can sign up to the Oh hi mailing list. Every month, or every couple of months, I send out photos and information about new pieces (I try to always include a few free or nearly items) along with a mini interview with a maker, artist, designer, photographer, curator, writer or editor.
